Instead, we found it was an overpriced piece of junk that did a lousy job vaccuming until it completely died in October. We have submited a request for service to Miele but they have done nothing and don't appear to support their product. Save your money - buy a different brand.
This is also a large and bulky vaccum - my wife never liked it and found it too heavy.
Update 12/13/10: Now Miele is giving us excuses about service because we bought from Amazon.com (a non-authorized distributor) - their local dealer refused to service the vaccum. This company has absolutely horrible service and does not seem to want to honor their warranty. Avoid them. Our old Dyson vaccum at least lasted five years and cost $350 less.
