(More customer reviews)We have been processing storage for my mother's knitting & crotchet handiwork she'd accumulated over the years. (Sweaters, lap robes, baby blankets, afghans, bedspreads etc.) This was a lot of storage volume. We ordered our Spacebags direct from the manufacturer. We like the concept of clear plastic bags offered in various sizes that can be "vacuumed sealed".
We ordered 2 sets (BOGO) of their specials. Our first sets came in plain brown boxes and were neatly packed. There are no instructions or warranty materials included in the packaging.
In the 2nd shipment i.e. 2 sets, both were crammed into one plain brown box. Again without warranty or use instructions. Several of the bags were creased from their careless packaging operation.
Out of 13 (varied sizes) we've used: 1 had a cut in it (our fault or theirs?); 2 large have slow leaks that we've not been able to find. The others seem to be holding up ok after we "processed" them. The key to success it to be sure the double seal is secured as we've found leakers but both seals weren't secure. We are just now getting into their cubes & jumbo sizes.
The valve supplied is a hard plastic which has a raised ring around the valve orifice. Because it is hard plastic it is difficult to get a steady tight interface with your vacuum's hose nozzle. It does work, but it makes the job a bit more frustrating that if you had a softer plastic ring or an adapter. Still a great concept but could use some tweaking and quality control.
