The title communicates the main points. I used these for long-term food storage in generic five gallon buckets (could not find inexpensive or free food-grade containers).
The one caveat is that the O2 absorbers are sealed as a 10-pack... if you open the package to get one, all are exposed to the air. It's best to prepare 10 buckets except the last bit of the seal on the bag. Then add the O2 absorbers right before the final sealing of the Mylar. Otherwise you will need to find a small airtight container to store the O2 absorbers, and they will lose some of their capacity.
