(More customer reviews)I got some of these bags with my Sous Vide Supreme and I'm pretty impressed. They're in the top two best I've ever seen for clamp-type vacuum sealers (along with Weston bags, also available from Amazon and Prime eligible). Every one of them sealed properly and held vacuum, something I can't say about the bags from Food Saver- in my experiences about one out of eight of them have failed to properly seal or have the seal fail before I could use the product. Sometimes the failure wasn't even at the seal but along one of the seams. Also, the SVS bags are tested and shown to be safe for cooking at temps up around 190.
I wish I could give them a 4.5 star rating. Now all I use are the Westons. The SVS bags are at least as good but they cost $.50 apiece to the $.20-.30 for the Westons. If they were the same price I'd maybe go with the SVS, at least some of the time. But the Westons are a better deal. Incidentally I've never had one of them fail, either.
Note: I used the SVS bags exclusively for cooking sous vide.
