(More customer reviews)This is the best vacuum we have ever owned. we are on year 3 with it and it is amazing. so you understand before this vac we went trough 5 vacs in a 3 year period. 1 dirt devil, 1 roomba, 1 Dyson, 2 Eureka.
The dirt devil just didn't perform, lost suction all the time and ate belts like a sumo wrestler at a buffet.
The roomba was great for touch ups, but on cleaning days it just was no good. if we would have gotten one with a built in timer maybe it would have been better but we usually forgot to turn it on wen we left the house in the morning. plus the collection container was small, and no filtration.
The Dyson was just crap, worked for about 6 months before we sold it on craigslist, it does loose suction unlike the commercial claim. the bag less thing is total crap, and for the price i was just pissed off about that purchase.
The two Eureka "The Boss" vacs were the best value. each one only lasted about a year and the suction was decent but it had lots of con. mainly that it did loose suction, it ended up eating belts toward the end, and both had a burning smell to them. The biggest issue was how big heavy and bulky it was, not easily maneuverable. By the time the second one started showing symptoms of dying we started our search.
We found the Sebo Felix and it just blew all the other vacs out of the water. The only other vac we considered was a melie, but its problem was the collection container was tiny and it didn't have as much suction.
Sebo Felix Pro:
Small and maneuverable- excellent with the pivoting head. it is also light and flat so its easy to get under our couch and coffee table for those days when we are feeling lazy.
Suction- the motor is amazing, cant believe it is so great for such a small machine, nothing like it in its size that i know of.
Brush- you can turn the brush on and off which is handy. the brush also has a cluth mechanism that prevents objects (towels, carpets, my wife sews and has fabric lying around) to get tangled up in the brush. if you do suck it up you can just pull it right out without have to deal with a giant mess just to untangle something you accidentally ran over.
Cost of maintenance- inexpensive to maintain, $2 a bag (that last), and the bursh, motor, and two filters are also pretty cheap.
Con:
Price- it is expensive, but we spent less total on this vac then the other 5 combined. its a better deal and it seems like it will last a very long time. but the inital cost did give me some sticker shock.
Weight- while it is small and light it is not light enough for above ground vacuuming, like on a ladder to get high up in the corners. this dosnt effect me much but it would be an issue for some people
Cost- again i cant stress how much this was a problem for me initially but now i cant even imagine not having it.
we went with this vac and are so happy with it. please go try it out somewere, its worth the time spent and it blows all the other stuff we tried out the water. any questions just ask.
