(More customer reviews)We had to replace another upright -- our THIRD replacement. I went to a local vacuum/sewing shop and the man asked me what my main cleaning task was and I told him it was dog hair from our Golden Retriever ... this was the first machine he suggested ... he even used "synthetic" dog hair and rubbed it on a carpet and it swept it right up ... It glides on the carpet :) The other GREAT thing is that it self-adjusts to carpet height and plush ... no more burning belts! That was our biggest problem with our last one ... you had to have it so close to the carpet/floor that it would burn up belts all the time ... not with this one ... my children actually fight over who gets to sweep! Another huge plus in my book :)
I asked him about several other machines and he said he wouldn't recommend any of them for dog hair ... that included Dirt Devil's and several other brands ... so far we are thrilled with this machine!
