(More customer reviews)For the people that say it doesn't pick up the dirt, my guess is they are only using the included filter, which does NOT filter out small particles. They sell that separately - but a cut off piece of nylon stockings works great as a sand filter (I live in the desert, and get LOTS of fine sand in both the pool and spa) - just stretch it over the filter it came with.
All in all - this is the best thing we have found to vacuum both the hot tub and the above ground pool.It's efficiency is what kept it from getting a single star due to it's one MAJOR drawback, which is after the 3rd use, trying to turn it on or off literally requires using a vice! I am lucky, and have a vice bolted to a workbench already sitting about 10ft from the pool, but without that, I would have thrown it away.
If they could put in an on/off switch that worked, I would have given it 5 stars... as it DOES clean both the pool and spa.
