(More customer reviews)We have a dirt devil upright with type U bags. We use these micro lined bags because they catch the fine dust, we have allergies and we toss the bags. Ordinary bags just let the dust go through the bag and right back into the air, not these micro-lined bags.
Living in Arizona, the fine dust clogs filters quickly and a bag-less vacuum with the HEPA type filters would cost around $100 to $300 a year, with filters costing $25 to $75 each, due to the "extreme conditions" requiring 4 filter replacements minimum per year--and all that dust being released when emptying the container!
The micro-lined filter media works really well; the fine Arizona dust fills up the bag media and at these prices we replace the bags when they are 1/3 full, about once a week, and out goes all the allergens with the bag. We carefully remove the bag and place it in a plastic grocery bag, then tie off the bag before putting in the trash.
Every couple of months, a "super fine dust" settles inside the cover of the vacuum. We have a second vacuum that we use to vacuum away the "super fine dust".
We know of some people/friends that use these "micro-lined bags" to pick up pet dander and hairs/fur in their homes.
We have found these bags in "bulk" through other vendors/suppliers, some even have free shipping, if you are willing to buy at least 1 bulk package of 10 bags which is a 3 month supply for us costing around $11.00 to $15.00 shipped/mailed to us.
If you have allergies or pet dander/hair problems, then try this 3 pack and you won't switch back to ordinary bags!!
