(More customer reviews)My husband and I are really happy with this purchase. We bought it about three months ago after quite a lot of research. I have always purchased Kenmore vacuums in the past and was tired of replacing them every 4-5 years. I prefer the canister style because it is easy to maneuver. This one is especially lightweight and the red color is nice. We live in a three story house with two stories of wood and one story of carpeting. This model works equally well on both surfaces. We knew we wanted to go with a Miele because of their reputed durability. The parts for this vacuum are quite solid. These are of superior quality to our Kenmores. We didn't go with one of the lower priced models in the range because they didn't seem to have the components we wanted for cleaning our carpets. This was the lowest price model Miele made which works equally well on both smooth and carpeted floors. We did look at the higher end models in the extensive range, but this model seemed quite good when comparing price and features. I really like how all the attachments easily store on the body of the canister so I can quickly change out parts as needed. People have mentioned not liking the short cord. It is shorter than our old vacuums, but I've been okay with it. The light weight of the unit makes it quite easy to carry up and down stairs.
