(More customer reviews)I had the original power wand, but I don't have any carpet. After a few years, the cord got stuck in the adjustable power wand and became unusable. I found this unit here and have been using it ever since.
I have had it for a while now. I use the vacuum at least twice per week, and I adjust the length constantly. The wand has never failed to extend or retract as needed and it is lighter than the power wand. If you must use the power head, you need a power wand and will have to pay the high price for that, but if you just have wood and tile floors like me, you can replace the power wand with this non powered wand without any trouble, and it is lighter too.
