I own a Capricorn S5981 and while this vacuum came with two floor brushes as well as small attachments for detail jobs, I often found myself trying to get into small narrow spaces and failing. The small tool that is an on-board accessory and looks much like the 22" crevice tool (except that it is not flexible and much shorter) always turns out to be too short and too rigid to successfully reach into areas such as between the wall and the washing machine or other places where furniture placement restricts access to corners, etc.
The flexible crevice tool is the answer to this problem and in the short time I have owned it, I've already used it many times. It is long enough to really get into those dust and dirt-collecting spaces and bends easily around corners without blocking the airflow through the tool. This has quickly become my favorite Miele tool and I couldn't be happier.
