(More customer reviews)We have a Miele S171i upright and I wasn't entirely sure this belt would work. Did a little research and figured it was likely to fit. Once it showed up, I set up shop for the big replacement job, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Just need to make sure you take out all of the cover plate attachment screws (one was sort of hidden and I didn't realize it was still in there while I was trying to gently pry the cover plate off). Once the cover plate was off, everything was pretty accessible. I was able to clean things and inspect for tangles and whatever. And the old belt was certainly stretched! It was probably about five years old. The entire job took me about thirty minutes. No specialty tools required.
The new belt seems to be of at least the same thickness and quality of the Miele OEM belt I took out. And as advertised, this package came with two belts, so I already have the next replacement - and I won't wait five years this time around!
