(More customer reviews)After owning a Rainbow Canister vac for 22 years and taking the power head into a local repair shop, I discovered that it just wasn't worth fixing. My very first vacuum cleaner was an old used upright Royal that had been given to me, so I was familiar with the name. I used it for a few years with a degree of satisfaction before buying my Rainbow. While the Rainbow served me quite well for many years, it was very heavy and cumbersome. It also required a fair amount of clean up and maintenance. My local vacuum cleaner dealer introduced me to this new Royal Canister vac and I was amazed at the functionaility and quality it brought - not to mention that the Home & Garden Show was in town and Royal was running a terrific promotional offer. I bought the Royal and started using it at home immediately. I love it! So light weight and easy to store. I can adjust the suction to clean blinds and curtains with a more gentle touch while the mini power head made cleaning dog hair off of the couches a breeze. The powerful full sized power head easily picks up dirt even right up against furniture and does not throw the belt when something gets tangled in the brushes. It simply shuts the power head off automatically until you release whatever is tangled, resets and you're off again! I was vacuuming everything in sight trying to experiment with all of the features and attachments. I am extremely impressed and feel that I definitely got my money's worth.
