(More customer reviews)I am in the process of ordering my second of these bottles. I am tired of spilling my drinks on my keyboard, so the first of these bottles has served well for 6 months or so. It keeps my Mountain Dew ice cold all day, and it seals in the carbonation. It is well worth the original $27 I paid, and at today's $17 price, is a real bargain.
Unfortunately, the cap is very fragile when the bottle is dropped on the floor upside down. The top is plastic, and normally very secure. I broke mine within a few weeks of first purchase. Super glue repaired it, but when I dropped it again yesterday, the small catch that holds the top closed sheared off.
The original repair with superglue still holds. The bottle itself is the best that I have found. So I am ordering a new one today, that I hope to treat more gently. I think that there is a market for just the caps for this bottle, but I have been unable to find one.
Maybe I should just order a half-dozen bottles, so I will always have one in reserve!
